Scientist have identified that six distinct types of corona virus with each of a specific symptoms.
The severity changes with different forms of corona virus.
Researchers from King's College London, says that continuous cough, fever and loss of smell are the usual three key symptoms, data gathered from around 1,600 users of the COVID-19 Symptom Study App in UK and US.
They also presented the six types of corona virus and symptoms as follows :
1.'Flu-like' with no fever :
- Head ache
- Loss of smell
- Muscle pains
- Sore throat
- Cough
- Chest pain
- No fever
2.'Flu-like' with fever :
- Head ache
- Loss of smell
- Cough
- Sore throat
- Hoarseness
- Loss of appetite
- Fever
3.Gastrointestinal :
- Head ache
- Loss of appetite
- Loss of smell
- Diarrhoea
- Sore throat
- Chest pain
- No cough
4.Severe level one, fatigue :
- Head ache
- Loss of smell
- Cough
- Fever
- Hoarseness
- Chest pain
- Fatigue
5.Severe level two, confusion :
- Head ache
- Loss of smell
- Loss of appetite
- Cough
- Fever
- Hoarseness
- Sore throat
- Chest pain
- Fatigue
- Confusion
- Muscle pain
6.Severe level three, abdominal and respiratory :
- Head ache
- Loss of smell
- Cough
- Loss of appetite
- Fever
- Hoarseness
- Sore throat
- Chest pain
- Fatigue

- Diarrhoea
- Abdominal pain
It was discovered that about 1.5% of people with type 1, 4.4% of people with type 2, 3.3% of people with type 3 and patients affected by these Type of virus requires breathing support.
8.6% of people with Type 4, 9.9% of people with type 5 and 19.8% of people with type 6.
People with 4,5 or 6 tended to be older, overweight and have pre-existing conditions such as diabetes or lung diseases than those with type 1,2 or 3.
